Taggerty is noted for the striking rocky ridge that bursts abruptly from the surrounding landscape between Buxton and Taggerty. The Park entrance is 5 mins drive from Willowbank. There are a variety of walks from easy to hard.

South of Taggerty is the quaint township of Marysville, popular with tourists, day trippers and visitors of all ages. Beyond Marysville, Lake Mountain offers an alpine winter wonderland.

North of Taggerty are Alexandra and Lake Eildon, Yea and the Strathbogie Ranges.

The 90 minute journey to or from Melbourne takes in the majestic Black Spur and the renowned wine growing region of the Yarra Valley.
